Dear Sara, Love Court
Lazy Thursday
I’m having one of those mornings where I have no idea what I want to do with myself. I have tons of unfinished books on my shelves, a 6-month-old acoustic guitar stuck inside its case, a blown up stability ball begging for me to get off my lazy butt and exercise, the complete Sex and the City series lying on my floor amid magazines, A Game of Thrones, and other various items for which I haven’t found a proper spot in my room. Yup, still feeling uninspired and unmotivated to do anything.
I started watching vlogs on YouTube, which I like to do when I’m bored, and that gave me the idea to start documenting my life again. Unfortunately, I don’t have any special talents or serious obsessions and I’m not living in New York or Paris anymore, so I figured I’d just create a blog for one of my best friends, Sara, who’s leaving for Mozambique in about 6 weeks. (Hi Sara!) I told her I’d write her a letter every day to give her something to read and so that we could keep in touch for the 2 years she’ll be gone, but who knows how long it would take for mail to arrive in Africa. Plus, I’ve missed blogging, so here we go again…
P.S. I’ve finally broken free of my country music obsession (that’s not something I can document). Listening to Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks” on repeat. Apparently, I’ve already listened to it 15 times in a row.
