Learning to Grow a Pair (day 64)
At work on Tuesday, I was a little too submissive with a couple of our clients, and my manager told me I had to grow a pair and be more assertive. I’m so not used to being assertive, but I know that it’s something I need to work on. I hate saying no to people and often overbook myself.
P.S. Operation Organization is going to have to wait until after this school semester is over. I...

What is my purpose in life? (day 53)
ubdahh…..
This is one of the many perplexing questions I must answer for one of my three final papers that are due in the next 3 weeks.
Giving Back (day 52)
While working at the market today, a group was outside asking customers to purchase Thanksgiving dinner items and then donate them to the homeless and jobless. I thought this was really great and decided to use my discount for a good cause. I also asked if they needed any volunteers and they said they definitely needed more help. The group was from a church located on Chapman, so I will be helping...
Lemon Trees (day 48)
When I grow up, I want a lemon tree in my backyard, but for now, I’ll settle for stealing any of the lemons that fall from our neighbor’s backyard. : ) I’ve been drinking hot water with lemon juice and honey all day, and it’s really been helping my throat.
P.S. Mission Bathroom Organization is complete. Now I must tackle my room. Dun Dun Duuun. It looks rather...
Caught a cold (day 47)
I finally caught the cold that everyone and their mother has around me, and I think I consumed 10 cough drops at work today. I’m hoping I get this over with soon and that I won’t get sick again until after finals and papers are due.
Phase 1a: Bathroom Organization (day 38)
So, the whole 66 day thing isn’t going to work out because buying all of the boxes and storage units costs money and will take some time to collect. I’ve decided to just call this Phase 1: Organization and it will be my primary focus until it’s complete. So far, I have gone to The Container Store and bought 3 white plastic pull out drawers ($9.99 each) for underneath my sink, and...

EveryGirl Social Media Tip
Think and act as if you were running for President.
EveryGirl Diet Tip #1
Drink hot water. (A lemon may be added.)
It helps hydrate you, fills you up, and provides the same comfort of hot coffee and tea without the teeth staining effects and caffeine symptoms.
I honestly thought hot water would be gross by itself, but I’m having my first cup right now, and it’s actually extremely soothing!
Feeling Overwhelmed (day 31)
At this point, I’m already sick of school and having a schedule that changes every week. I’d really like to just have a routine for once.
The EveryGirl's Guide to Life (day 30)
I’m starting to become fed up with all of my disorganization, so I’ve decided to tackle this book one chapter at a time, every 66 days (Apparently, that’s how long it takes to form a good habit according to the most recent research. Interestingly, it only takes 21 days to form a bad habit).
The first chapter is “The EveryGirl Foundation: EveryGirl Gets Organized”.
Lessons I learned today (day 28)
1. I need to learn to say “no” when I don’t really want to do something, rather than commit first and bail later. That’s a terrible habit.
2. I hate taking tests and studying for tests, so I’m crossing a PhD/PsyD off my future To Do list. (We had our last midterm today, and one of the questions was accidentally asked twice, so I ended up getting it wrong twice. So...
I got the job! (day 26)
I just received an email saying that I got the job, and I start training on Tuesday!
This morning, I went to the block with Jenny to watch the movie 50/50. It was a little more serious than I had anticipated, but I still really liked it. LOVE Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
After that, I went to our schools Opening Celebration for our community clinic and helped conduct a simulation of the clinic. All I...

Anxieties and Fears (day 20)
I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I’m starting to worry about all of the choices I’ve been making. I’m trying to have a more positive outlook on life, so I’m going to think of this as an opportunity for me to focus on taking things one at a time and not worrying so much. What’s the worst that could happen? Mistakes are a lesson learned. Right? And if...
Potential Second Job (day 19)
I have an interview with Pure Barre on Monday for a receptionist position. The hours are 5:45 am to 1:20 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I would have a very long work day if I got the job. However, I would also be able to take free classes and have extra money. Fingers crossed!
We are still masters of our fate. We are still captains of our souls.

Wine and Cheese (day 12)
(written the following morning)
I seriously don’t know what to write after reading your blog, Sara! Your life sounds so interesting, like right out of a novel or something. I keep thinking this is the perfect thing for you to be doing right now, and I really need to start saving up to come visit you!
Max and his UCI roommates finally had their first Fall party of the year last night- a...
Edge PAC, Marylou, and Spirit Guides (day 5)
Since I’ve been feeling a little out of sorts lately, and I had a free Saturday off from work, I decided to meet my New York dance friend, Marylou, for a Jazz 3 class at the Edge Performing Arts Center in LA. It’s right next to a giant Gold’s Gym (which is apparently a very popular gym chain in LA). I remember watching a video on steroids in my Psychology of Addiction class last...

Yay for Blogging! (day 4)
The Good:
- I’m so glad you are blogging for real!
- I have 8 pages done on my 10 page Epistemology Paper (I have to answer questions like “What is my purpose in life?” and “What is my idea of the good life?”). It’s a LOT harder than it sounds.
- I made plans to visit a New York dance friend, Marylou, who just moved to Venice, CA for work. We’re going...
Sara, Come Back!! (day 1)
I just typed in Sara in the title box and this is what popped up from my old tumblr… “Sara, Champs-Elysee, Lebanese Food, etc. (day 169)”. I seriously cannot believe how time flies! It almost makes me nostalgic.
I must say, not having you here is a lot more difficult than I thought it’d be. But, really. Don’t come back yet. It’s time to get to business and...

Lazy Thursday
I’m having one of those mornings where I have no idea what I want to do with myself. I have tons of unfinished books on my shelves, a 6-month-old acoustic guitar stuck inside its case, a blown up stability ball begging for me to get off my lazy butt and exercise, the complete Sex and the City series lying on my floor amid magazines, A Game of Thrones, and other various items for which I...
